Development Initiatives Network (DIN), an independent non-governmental organization (NGO), was established in April 1999 and registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission on 7 December 2000. DIN’s focus is evidence-based policy influence work. Our mission is to achieve leadership position as a resource and research centre by using qualitative research to promote social justice and development in Nigeria. Through activities such as policy research, advocacy, training, information dissemination and direct services provision through the Community Advice Centre, DIN promotes human rights as a cross-cutting theme in four key programme areas. These are public interest law, which is the largest, urbanization, environment and natural resource management. DIN’s main office is at the DIN Resource Centre, South West Ikoyi, Lagos. This is comprised of workspaces, a reference library, and meeting rooms including a 40-seat seminar room.
